Nephrology

OPD There are two units in the department of nephrology and about 12000 patients are examined and treated on outdoor basis by this department every year. The timings of outpatient department are 9.00 a.m. to 5 p.m. p.m. in the mornings and 4.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. in the evenings (from Monday to Friday) and 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. on Saturdays.

Blood and urine samples are collected every morning from 9.00 a.m. to 5 p.m. p.m. Reports are available after three hours of collection and are dispatched in after 3 hours of collection

Dialysis Hemodialysis centre works in three shifts to atleast 80 patients everyday on outpatient basis. We have 35 units of dialysis taking care of patients in separate geographical areas of maintenance dialysis, infectious unit, pre-transplantation unit and deceased (cadaver) donor transplantation unit.

Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) has been established.

Pediatric Nephrology There is a separate wing of nephrology catering to the needs of children suffering from kidney disease. The department runs outpatient services on Monday and Thursday from 9 A.M. in the morning and 12:30 P.M. in evening.
