Prof. Pranjal Modi presented his work on laparoscopic kidney transplantation at the American Transplant Congress (ATC) at Philadelphia, USA held from 30th April and 4th May, 2011. This is the first series of 17 patients in the world showing successful outcome of laparoscopic kidney transplantation. His poster was considered as "Poster of Distinction" in the congress.
Prof. Modi was also invited as an operating faculty at Uroworkshop-2011 (International live operative workshop on Female Urology, Laser Prostatectomy, and RIRS) on 16th -17th April 2011 at Pt. B. D. Sharma PGI of Medical Sciences, Rohtak, Haryana where he demonstrated laparoscopic repair for vesicovaginal fistula.
Prof. Modi was invited as a visiting professor to mentor the surgeons of the kidney transplantation department in Liverpool, UK in 3rd week of May,’11 when 3 donor nephrectomies were performed. This was for the first time in Europe that pure retroperitoneoscopic living donor nephrectomy was carried out.

Indian Journal of Nephrology and Bulletin of the institute started by Research and Publication Department of the Institute of Kidney Diseases and Research Centre with Dr. H. L. Trivedi as its founding Chief Editor.
